Sam Thomas

I am a veteran educator with eight years of 1-on-1 tutoring experience working to prepare students for success on the SAT and ACT. Having helped over 60 students prepare for these exams, I deeply understand the intricacies of each test and how best to help students achieve their full potential on them.

After graduating from Northwestern, I entered the field of education as a Teach For America Corps Member, where I taught high school math. Following that experience, I earned an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown and worked as a consultant. I am returning to school this fall and will be a 1L at Georgetown Law School.

As a tutor, I take a strategic approach, identifying targeted areas for improvement. I know how busy my students are, and I make sure our sessions are effective and efficient. I take pride in seeing my students build their confidence as their hard work translates into significant score increases.
