Meet Amy DePoy: High School Humanities Tutor.

I am a lover of books and stories in all formats. Raised in upstate NY, I spent most of my childhood at the local library or with my nose stuck in a book, discovering new worlds and characters. My passion for literature led me to Yale University, where I graduated with a degree in English in 2019. Since then, I’ve been tutoring for over five years, sharing my love of learning and helping students build their skills and confidence.

As a tutor, my goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their thoughts, and making mistakes—all essential parts of the learning process. I thrive on seeing that spark of understanding in my students’ eyes and watching their confidence grow as we work together through challenging material. My teaching style is animated and energetic, as I believe learning should be an engaging and enjoyable experience. I’m dedicated to making sessions fun, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs.
