Meet Andrew Martinelli: SAT & STEM Tutor.

For the past year, I have been a researcher at The National Institutes of Health as I prepare for medical school in the fall of 2025. I have always appreciated the value of one-on-one, individualized learning. Originally from New York City, I first gained tutoring experience by leading a class of elementary school students in English. During my undergraduate years at Washington and Lee University, I tutored my classmates in French, Biology, and Chemistry while also volunteering to virtually tutor New York City public school students in math and science.

I believe the best way to foster deep learning is through hands-on experience. I encourage my students to tackle problems independently, make mistakes, and learn from them. By guiding them through this process, I aim to cultivate a long-lasting understanding and instill confidence. My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable trying different approaches and developing strategies that work for them. With my support, they’ll not only arrive at the right answers but also feel empowered to apply their knowledge on test day and beyond.
