Angel Diaz Ramos

I am originally from Puerto Rico and am a native Spanish speaker. I have tutored within Northern Virginia since 2018, but overall for 15+ years. I currently teach at a private school in McLean, VA, and have been doing so for five years. Growing up, I was always fond of helping others in their academic needs. This includes classmates at school, peers in college, friends and family, and everyone in between. Everyone knew that if I knew the topic, I was willing to help. So naturally, I gravitated towards education.

My goal is to ensure a student understands the material. To achieve this, I focus first on building a genuine connection, then use that relationship to make the subject more approachable. I see tutoring as a collaborative effort, I work together with my students as a team to overcome challenges. By creating a welcoming environment, I aim to make students feel eager to engage and confident in tackling problems. Ultimately, I want each student to leave every session having learned something new and valuable.
