Chirag Rao
Math, Physics, SAT & ACT Tutor

I’m a lifelong learner, and am currently pursuing my PhD at MIT in Communications and Computer Networks. As a researcher, I am investigating how to build teams of AI systems that communicate and collaborate effectively—skills that are essential for everything from computing to tutoring. Teaching has always given me a profound sense of joy ever since I was a teaching assistant at Cornell University as an undergrad student. I also received a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Computer Science.
I believe that my aim as a tutor should be to build a student’s confidence in their own voice and command of the subject material. I don’t lecture, but rather engage the student so we arrive at understanding together. As your child’s tutor, I will be advocating for their growth, engaging them as individuals, and always asking questions to prime critical thinking.
