Meet Fabien Muhire: High School Science Tutor.

Born in Africa and raised in North Dakota, I am a senior at Georgetown University with plans to attend medical school in the future. My journey has taught me the importance of learning, both its capacity to impact the world and to provide people with agency. With this understanding of the power that education can have, I am very motivated to equip others with agency over their circumstances.

My teaching style is threefold. First, I aim to present material in a way students can comprehend and resonate with. I offer frequent, intuitive analogies, and if this fails, I work backward to target core concepts. I believe everyone can master a new concept with the correct foundation. Second, I aim to ensure students can visualize mastery of the concepts. I stress this heavily. Students place effort where success seems likely. As a tutor, I project the future success students will attain if they master a present concept. Lastly, I aim to develop an open and engaging environment where students feel interested in the material and comfortable enough to ask questions at various levels of difficulty.
