Grant Przybyla

Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, I began my tutoring career while still in high school when I joined a volunteer program to tutor my peers during our daily free period. After graduating from Washington & Lee University in 2017, I moved to Toulouse to obtain my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification; I then spent a year in Prague working with adult language learners. Returning stateside in 2019, I transitioned to working with high schoolers as an academic tutor in Northern Virginia. I’ve been working with teenagers across the DMV ever since.

As a tutor, I emphasize learning by doing and strive to help students develop critical thinking skills. And because we often learn best by making mistakes, I always aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes. As every student has different skills, interests, and learning styles, I tailor every session to suit each student’s needs. My goal is to help students feel like they have the tools, confidence, and know-how to pursue any career in life.
