Meet Jack Murray: SAT, ACT, & STEM Tutor.

I’ve always loved learning, especially when it comes to understanding how the brain works, which led me to study Neuroscience at Boston College and now continue my journey as a medical student at Georgetown. Along the way, I discovered how fulfilling it is to help others make sense of challenging material. There’s nothing better than seeing that moment when a concept clicks, especially when it once felt impossible.

As a tutor I focus on creating a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and figuring things out at their own pace. I like to get to know how each student learns best. Some prefer structure, others thrive with flexibility, and I tailor my approach accordingly. I’m especially passionate about helping students build strategies for tackling difficult questions, whether that means breaking them down step by step or learning how to think critically under time pressure. My goal is always to support students in becoming more confident, not just in the material, but in their ability to solve problems, think on their feet, and trust their instincts.
