Meet Jeff Newton: High School Math & Science Tutor.
I grew up in Richmond, VA, and I went to the College of William and Mary where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. I moved to the DC/Northern Virginia area after graduation, and I am currently in the medical school application process! I’m passionate about helping students strengthen their academic foundations and reach their full potential.
As a recent graduate, I understand the challenges today’s students face and must overcome in order to excel in their classes. My goal is to make students feel supported and comfortable enough to ask questions freely and learn through curiosity. I closely monitor students’ progress during my time with them in order to understand what teaching and learning techniques are most beneficial for each student. I hope that by the end of my time with each student, they not only feel they have a mastery of the course content, but they also feel more confident about how to approach their own learning.
