Over the past four years, I have worked with hundreds of SAT, ACT, and GRE students. Before joining Top Score Education, I created a curriculum explicitly built for understanding the idiosyncrasies of the GRE, to be used in both one-on-one and group settings. My experience as a GRE expert informs my work with college students on this exam, high school students on the SAT and ACT, and even middle school students on the SSAT and ISEE.

I’ve found that the instructions that test writers make can only capture some small part of what they really mean, leaving students unaware of what kind of answers they should really be looking for. I love taking confusing question types and content and boiling them down to the most straightforward explanations so that I can see the light bulbs going off in a student’s head. My experience with so many students has shown that every program really needs to be tailored around their own strengths and weaknesses to find a path toward their best possible score. I am passionate about making sure that every student can show their full potential and ability on the test!

To help students reach that point, I work hard to understand every student individually, getting to know how they learn and what clicks for them. I ask lots of questions and try not to skip steps without checking if the student is ready to move forward. My goal is to build trust with students so that they feel comfortable, confident, and capable. That way, they will be willing to ask honest questions and their learning can be personal and not rote. Learning should be fun, and I want to share that with others.
