Meet Julia Margie: SAT, ACT, & Math Tutor.
Having grown up in the DC private school system, I understand firsthand the pressures and expectations students face. I recently graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in Math and Computer Science, and spent two years tutoring introductory calculus.
As a tutor, I encourage students to embrace mistakes and questions as a natural part of learning and growth. I lean toward the Socratic method, trusting that with the right support, my students can work out both the “how” and the “why” on their own. My goal is for students to enjoy the process of problem-solving and thinking, rather than focusing solely on memorization.
