Katherin Rodriguez

I am a Cuban-born, native Spanish speaker and lifelong language lover who has always been fascinated by the way language opens doors to other cultures and ways of seeing the world. I speak Spanish, English, and French; and I have more than seven years of teaching experience. I have taught students at a wide range of proficiency levels and have worked with both students who are passionate about languages and those who need a little extra encouragement to find their confidence. What I enjoy most about teaching is helping students discover that language learning can be practical, creative, and genuinely fun.

As a tutor, I create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking risks with the language. I adapt my approach to each student’s learning style, interests, goals, and level of proficiency rather than expecting every student to learn in exactly the same way. I love incorporating culture, music, literature, history, and real-world conversation into language learning because I believe that learning a language is ultimately about connecting with people and understanding the world. My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable, and curious than when they first arrived.
