Meet Lucy Lansing: College Essay, English, & Study Skills Boost Tutor.
Originally from Georgia, I have gradually been moving north and collecting different teaching experiences along the way.
After graduating from Furman University, I served as a Teach For America Corps Member. I then completed my JD at Emory University School of Law and am a current LLM candidate and teaching fellow at Georgetown Law School.
I have tutored for over a decade and love the chance to help students grow their already-present superpowers.
To me, learning is a truly magical process. I enjoy getting to know students and their families (bonus points for dogs!). I have found that engagement with challenging content is possible in an environment where trust and humor are present. I always want students to feel safe and valued and comfortable enough to be wrong a lot of the time. Personal and academic growth occur together, and it is so rewarding to witness students expand their understanding of what they’re capable of.
