Meet Sri Kulkarni: SAT, ACT, & Math Tutor.
A native of Houston, Texas, I am the child of a professor and the brother of an education entrepreneur. My lifelong passion for learning was especially spurred by teachers who encouraged me: my 4th grade math teacher, my 10th grade physics teacher, and my freshman linguistics professor. I try to pass that passion for learning to others, including my own niece and nephew, and the students with whom I work. My philosophy of tutoring is not to simply present information to students, but to help them take ownership of the material. I try to understand the student’s interests, then make the learning relevant and useful to them. Test taking induces less anxiety when it becomes a game to be played or puzzle to be figured out. My goal is to maximize your student’s potential by reducing blockers so that their scores go up while their stress goes down.
