Meet Yoftahe Milkessa: High School Math Tutor.
I moved to the US six years ago to attend Yale, where I majored in computer science. At Yale, I worked as a math tutor, interned at Apple, and was a Research Assistant for the Yale Interactive Machines Group.
Because of my academic journey, I have always been enthusiastic about tutoring and mentoring younger students, especially in the college preparation and application process. As a tutor, I work to motivate students to reach their score targets. There is an exciting aspect to sharpening one’s skills and seeing improvements. I want students to find this excitement in their test prep and confidently set higher and higher expectations for themselves. In my free time, you will find me playing pick-up soccer, listening to Ethiopian jazz music, and watching the English Premier League.
