Meet Beatrice Castillo-Sahagun: SAT, ACT, & STEM Tutor.

Originally from Los Angeles, I moved to the East Coast to attend Harvard, where I received the Gates and Jack Kent Cooke Scholar Scholarship and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Neurobiology.

I began tutoring and mentoring pre-med high school and college students in 2018. One of my greatest joys is helping students approach complex concepts and changing their mindsets to one of significant growth. As a tutor, I love to keep meaning at the center of all our work. If we have a purpose, no matter how small, to all we do, it will create a more profound conviction to do the work we are doing. Additionally, students need to have trust in their abilities to perform the work they are doing. This confidence builds through the practice that they are doing but is also aided by affirmation from their tutors.

I hope to challenge and support your student through this process as a cheerleader and a teacher. My goal is for your student to feel confident in identifying concepts being tested, explaining those concepts, and catching their common errors.
